The father leaving is a memory all of humanity has. All of humanity has lost vision to how powerful the mind which makes human is.
Mind is creation. If sight of this is lost, it represents the father gone from awareness. The father is one’s creator with powerful creator abilities. If one’s own creative ability is in question, it is but a symptom for the correctable quandary.
